Job Opening: Quality Engagement Engineer (Semiconductor Industry)

 

Our Penang client is hiring Quality Engagement Engineer to act as the key liaison between customers and internal teams on quality-related matters. This role is responsible for managing customer concerns, driving issue resolution, supporting audits, and ensuring products and processes meet customer expectations and industry standards. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, analytical, and passionate about continuous improvement and quality excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

Customer Quality Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer quality-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Coordinate investigations and resolution of customer complaints, product quality issues, and technical inquiries.
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective issue resolution.
  • Lead root cause investigations and prepare customer responses, including corrective action reports and risk assessments.
  • Drive timely closure of customer quality incidents and requests.

Customer Support & Engagement

  • Support customer audits, quality assessments, and site visits as required.
  • Participate in customer meetings, quality reviews, and business discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and issue management.

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review and maintain customer-facing quality documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement initiatives and quality objectives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct quality-related training and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams and business partners.
  • Participate in benchmarking activities and best-practice initiatives.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects that enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.

 

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Customer Quality, or a related field.
  • Experience handling customer complaints, quality investigations, and corrective action processes is preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or technology-driven environment is an advantage.

 

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of quality management systems and problem-solving methodologies, such as:
    • 8D
    • FMEA
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
    • PPAP
  • Familiarity with industry quality standards and customer quality requirements.
